At EPCA, we listen to the autism community to ensure that our programs are
a) targeting goals that matter
b) allow for developmental age needs-such as naps
c) increase intrinsic motivation overtime
d) keep unique differences and strengths in tact and
e) target ways to reduce parental stress and increase parental perception
Every Friday, our adult program members meet at our transitional housing location for round table discussion regarding friends, family, challenges and strengths. Each members is on their own timeline toward independence and are responsible for making and conquering their goals.
As members progress through the program, they are able to experience living on their own in a supportive transitional housing setting. Here they learn skills such as learning to schedule transportation, manage time for job and home duties, budgeting, meal prep, exercise and maintaining a healthy living environment,
At EPCA, we understand the unique challenges teenagers on the autism spectrum face. Our teen program provides a place for teens to meet like minded peers and work specifically on social and communication skills in a safe place.
